‘QUITUS’ is an artistic and cultural organization of Art and Culture Foundation ‘JUYAYAY RICCHARINA’ seeks to spread our people’s cultural expressions. It looks for getting the valuation of our valuable past, and encourage the active participation of the society in building a present, which is governed by respect for diversity and right to the cultural development.

 

Quitus, fertile land and abundance province, a word that until today reflects wisdom, power, creation, and defines the very essence of the place, in language ‘Chachi – Tsafique’ that means Land of Half, became the physical, astral and spiritual axis of the planet, cradle of ancient peoples who formed as a sacred center of  all America India.

QUITUS has three Dance and musical heritages from Ecuador, each one has ten choreographic assemblies, which represent the cultural manifestations of the diverse ethnic groups of our country such as: indigenous, afros and mestizos. It has been staged between the ritual and the festive.
